Sword Meatballs

4 portions

Egyptian Kofta

This is a very common dish in the Free Cities and is not a rarity in Dorne as well. Traditionally the meatballs are formed around a sword (though any stick will do the trick), which gives them that manly charisma. Prince Oberyn eats them regularly claiming he simply likes the taste, but many see it also as a statement of warrior vitality.

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1/4 lb (100g) ground lamb

1/2 cup minced parsley

1 grated small onion

2 minced cloves garlics

1 Tbs salt

1 tsp crushed black pepper

1/2 tsp cumin powder

1 tps Extra virgin olive oil

Mix the onion and garlic with the spices and let it sit in room temperature

Add the meat and the parsley to the onion and mix well. Shape the meat into kofta shapes

Oil the bottom of a large pan with the olive oil. Heat the oven over to medium high heat.

Let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Take out of the oven and remove the liquid before turning the kofta. Put in the oven for additional 10 minutes, or until they take brown-gold color.

Serve with salad or tomato.
