Spinach Stems Salad

Grandma Sia's spinach stems salad recipe by us at na2na3.

This wonderful salad tastes a bit like asparagus and makes the perfect side dish to steak or even hummus. Plus, it costs close to nothing to make. Never waste another spinach stem!

ingredients

2 cups spinach stems

1 green garlic (or garlic clove)

salt

vinegar and oil to taste

method

In a pan bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add two tablespoons of salt and the spinach stems. Cover the pan and let the stems boil for five minutes.

Drain the spinach stems and put them in a bowl. Chop the garlic finely and add it to the spinach stems.

Season the salad with vinegar and oil.
